Two new short plays inspired by mythology as part of a new play development at the Thousand Faces Festival.

Iphigenia by: Liam Salmon
With the air thick with the anticipation of blood, Iphigenia looks on from a moonlit terrace. She is to be sacrificed to the sea god so her father’s fleet can sail safely off to war. As she awaits her death, her mother Clytemnestra visits her one last time.

Sisyphus, Happy by: Calla Wright
The year is the Unspecified Future. Humanity has been all but wiped out. In a lonely little spaceship drifting through the cosmos is Beff Jezos, Earth billionaire and the last living human. With only an AI for company, Beff reflects on how he became the last of his kind, and what that means for his future.
